Research Office Hours are an opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance with a URO Research coach for any research related queries. Our executive team is able to assist you in getting a research position through the following subjects:

  • How to apply for a research lab
  • How to write a letter of interest
  • How to apply for funding for a research project
  • Finding a lab relevant to your interests
  • Finding job and volunteer postings

Drop in office hours are based on a first-come first-serve basis. If your request is urgent, please book an appointment with a research coach by filling out the form below.

Research Experience: I’ve been working in the field of HIV, human genetics, and next generation sequencing for around 5 years. I’ve presented at, organized, and judged quite a few conferences. Right now, I am working on several first author papers to wrap up my undergraduate degree.

Research Experience: I was in the REX program 2014-2015, and gave a poster presentation at MURC 2015. I have been participating in a research project in the BC Children’s hospital and was simultaneously in three Summer Student Research Programs in summer 2015.
